How to qualify?

The contest is open to all costumers/cosplayers!
Come dressed up as your favorite anime, manga or movie character either as an individual or as a group of 4. Role-play your character, present a short introduction or performance to impress the judges or wow the audiences with your costumes.

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY

1st prize: $500 cash prize
2nd prize: $300 cash prize
3rd prize: $200 cash prize

GROUP CATEGORY (4 Man Cell)

1st prize: $500 shopping voucher + $300 Spa voucher
2nd prize: $300 shopping voucher + $300 Spa voucher
3rd prize: $200 shopping voucher + $88 Spa voucher
4th & 5th prize: $100 shopping voucher + $88 spa voucher

Judging Criteria for INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY:

1st round elimination: Judges decide who are the finalists based on the following criteria

Costume Presentation: 30%
Costume Accuracy: 20%
Character Portrayal: 40%
Bonus: 10% for Medieval / Fantasy related costumes

Final Round: Audience Voting
Audience may vote for their favorite finalists at the voting booth during the voting period (30 mins). INDIVIDUAL category winners will be announced and prizes presented at 4pm.

1st round elimination: Judges decide who are the finalists based on the following criteria

Costume Presentation: 30%
Costume Accuracy: 20%
Character Portrayal: 40%
Bonus: 10% for Medieval / Fantasy related costumes OR/AND a short performance/skit not longer than 2 mins per group

Final Round: Audience Voting
Audience may vote for their favorite finalists at the voting booth during the voting period (30 mins). GROUP category winners will be announced and prizes presented at 530pm.

By submitting your particulars for the participation in COSCON 2007, you agree to the following:
1, All participants are required to be on time for all contest-related actvities ,failure to report on time will result in disqualification.
2. Participants are required to report to REGISTRATION by by 1200hrs on 4 August 2007.
3. All participants must ensure that their information is accurate and complete. COSCON reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or inaccurate entries
4. COSCON reserves the right to use partial/full information or photographs pertaining to participants for uses of publicity, promotion or dissemination of information to participants.
5. Judges' decision is final ; Judges reserve the right to reselect alternate winner(s) to substitute any winner(s) in the events of disqualification.
6.All prizes shall not be exchangeable, transferable, redeemable or substituted for cash or otherwise, in all cases, whether in whole or part.
7.All prizes unclaimed after the stated claim period, shall be forfeited & donated to a charity organization selected by the organizers.
